From 2015-present, Ms. Rapp has served as the Managing Partner of AJR Ventures, a strategic advisory firm for family offices and private equity firms through which she makes direct angel, venture and search fund investments.
She currently serves as the Lead Independent Director of Spring Fertility, a portfolio company of Wildcat Capital Partners, and as an independent director of Together Women’s Health, a portfolio company of Shore Capital Partners.
Previously, she served as the Chief Executive Officer of Empower Aesthetics, another a portfolio company of Shore Capital Partners, a platform on which she served on the board of directors since inception and to which she returned to the board as Executive Director after turbocharging M&A activity with 8 acquisitions in 18 months.
Priorly, Ms. Rapp served as the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Healthwell Acquisition Corp. I, a $250MM special purpose acquisition corporation that IPO’d on the NASDAQ. Healthwell vetted over 100 companies and issued 14 LOIs in 24 months.
Prior to Healthwell, Ms. Rapp served as Chief Executive Officer of Surgical Solutions, a B2B healthcare services platform providing non-clinical surgical services to hospitals, owned by Sterling Partners. There, Ms. Rapp led a successful turnaround of the enterprise, driving 21% sales growth with 90% customer retention, resulting in its sale to Grupo Vitalmex.
From 2005-2015, Ms. Rapp served as the founder & CEO of Bottlenotes, Inc., a leading interactive media company in the beverage category. In this era, Ms. Rapp was named one of Inc. Magazine's “30 Under 30 coolest entrepreneurs in America.”
Ms. Rapp served as a lecturer-in-management at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business from 2014-2022 and became an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago’s Booth Business School in 2019. In 2020, she became an elected member of Illinois’ District 36 School Board.
Ms. Rapp earned a B.A. in Political Science and the History of Art from Yale University in 2000 and an M.B.A. from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business in 2005. She is the author of Amazon Bestseller, Leadership and Life Hacks: Insights from a Mom, Wife, Entrepreneur & Executive (ForbesBooks, October 2019).
When not immersed in business and civic life, she loves to Peloton, do yoga, ski fast, and try as hard as possible to decipher a slider from a curve ball from her husband, 1990 MLB World Series champion and current partner at X10 Capital, Hal Morris. They are the proud parents of Audrey Margaret Morris and Henriette Daniella Morris.
