ADVISOR
Devin is currently the Director of Marketing for Temecula Valley Southern California Wine Country, working with over 40 different wineries to tell the unique story of the region and its wines. Six years into a successful career in Public Relations in the interactive entertainment industry, Devin found herself so drawn to the siren-like call of the vine that she traded in her video game controller for a corkscrew and a set of very sharp knives and moved to Italy to study culinary arts and wine at the Apicius International School of Hospitality. Since then, she has handled sales for an Italian importer and distributor in New York City; launched the first US location of the wildly successful Canadian retail chain, DavidsTea; co-founded Champagne and Hotdogs, a wine events and consulting business and blog; and served as the wine director and general manager of several wine stores in Manhattan.
A move back to California from New York brought her to Bottlenotes, where she oversaw national food and wine programs like the multi-city restaurant week for wine, Taste Around Town, and popular wine tasting event series Around the World in 80 Sips, and contributed editorial content to The Daily Sip e-newsletter.
Devin earned her B.A. in Political Science and Economics at UC San Diego. She goes crazy for well-made Merlot, Mediterranean varietals, spectacular stemware and wines with a certain “funk.” She is also passionate about businesses that successfully combine new school technology with old world pleasures (like wine), and is a regular contributor to beauty & lifestyle blog Full Fledged Beauty and other wine media.
